WHAT IS IDENTITY DISCIPLES?

Identity disciples is an online community where God is THE primary focus. Whether you are an athiest, Christian, Catholic or agnostic there is a place for you in our community. We deep dive into plently of contraversial topics, brain bending questions and tough objections that often keep many of us from acknowledging, believing or connecting with God. I am a firm believer in the idea that the truth need not hide from criticism or questioning. I know God to be a God of order and logic who is big enough to handle our questions and comfort us with answers if we ask humbly in search of Him.

Exodus 34 verses 6 through 9 (BSB) says; Then the LORD passed in front of Moses and called out: “The LORD, the LORD God, is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in loving devotion and faithfulness, maintaining loving devotion to a thousand generations, forgiving iniquity, transgression, and sin. Yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished; He will visit the iniquity of the fathers on their children and grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.” Moses immediately bowed down to the ground and worshiped. “O Lord,” he said, “if I have indeed found favor in Your sight, my Lord, please go with us. Although this is a stiff-necked people, forgive our iniquity and sin, and take us as Your inheritance.”

Here we see God proclaim to Moses who He is. He lists His character and His attributes to Moses. I want to focus on the first half because if you're fairly new to the bible or things of God this is where you are. He claims to be compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in loving devotion and faithfulness, maintaining loving devotion to a thousand generations, forgiving iniquity (wrong-doing), transgression (offense), and sin (missing the mark of what needed to commune with God). This is who God is! He is waiting on us to reach out to Him with open arms and He desires a relationship with us and the only things stopping it is US. Come start your journey with us!
